LEXGARANT Insurance Company offers the following insurance products designed for a comprehensive protection of medical institutions
1. Electronic equipment insurance
This is a special type of insurance cover which covers all kinds of electronic equipment including specialist medical equipment. The cover gives protection against all typical risks which lead to the damage or the breakdown of the medical equipment insured.
Insured items may include:
- - computing equipment (computers, PCs, workstations, etc.) used for data processing, control and management processes;
- - ancillary equipment used together with the computing equipment (printers, scanners, tape drives, streamers, other network equipment, etc.);
- - all types of electronic medical devices, electronic and radiation emitting medical devices, as well as research tools (X-ray devices, equipment for medical diagnosis and treatment, other medical equipment, ECMO machines, artificial kidney machines, analysers, electron microscopes, etc.);
- - data and record communication equipment, transmission devices (teletypes, fax machines, modems, radio and TV broadcasting equipment, etc.);
- - television, radio, film and video devices (TV sets, studio control rooms for TV and film studios, camcorders, etc.);
- - copying machines (copiers, risographs);
- - data storage devices.
By parties' agreement, the insurance policy may also cover any original licensed software used to support the electronic equipment.
2. Medical malpractice insurance
Medical malpractice insurance covers physicians for claims resulting from allegations of wrong medical treatment, such as wrong site surgery, misdiagnosis, surgical errors, medication errors, childbirth-related injuries and other claims of wrongdoing.
The insurance policy may either cover the liability of the entire medical staff or that of a specific category of medical practitioners.
The exponential growth of the private medical care market and the growing complexity and sophistication of medical technologies used in the medical care provision increase the risks of liability for injury caused to patients by physicians in the course of performance of their professional duties. In such circumstances, health institutions need to be able to protect their rights, the rights of their personnel and their professional reputation.
Indemnity is paid to patients in respect of whom the insured entity is found by court to be liable for injury caused in the course of its professional activity. The timeframes and the procedure for the payment of the indemnity are specified in the insurance contract.
3. Medical staff personal accident insurance
Human resources are the primary factor of success for any modern business. Advanced technologies, strong competition and fast paced changes in the economic environment require that employees of all levels not only are highly skilled but are also able to play their part in the business in a creative manner and work with their fullest commitment possible.
The financial factor has always been a major factor for employees’ incentivisation and the key tool for ensuring that staff perform their duties in a professional manner. Yet, for all the importance of the salaries and wages, one typical feature of the current employment environment is the ever increasing role of social guarantees and benefits provided to incentivise the employees. While requiring only a moderate financial investment, the incentive allows organisations to improve the productivity of their staff and raise the prestige and the attractiveness of their work, which eventually boosts the performance of the business and secures its success.
One efficient and cost-effective way of providing additional benefits for the organisation's employees is providing them with a personal accident insurance package, which helps the organisation:
- - to raise the employees' commitment to the development of the business;
- - to raise the esteem in which staff hold the organisation's top management;
- - to attract new skilled professionals;
- - to keep high-performing employees within the company;
- - to build a workforce capable of efficiently meeting the organisation's objectives;
- - to decrease costs related to employees’ benefits;
- - to boost the company’s image as an organization adhering to high standards of corporate culture in the eyes of its competitors and business partners.
We offer a comprehensive and flexible insurance cover for your staff that would help you to structure a package of benefits that would best meet the needs of your employees, while being financially affordable for the organisation.
The package will typically include the following, but can always be tailored to your needs:
- - a voluntary private medical insurance plan;
- - an accident and sickness insurance plan;
- - a travel insurance plan.
